Pamela

I have an extensive business background focused on marketing, event management, and community outreach. My experiences at Whole Foods Market, White Flint Mall, Golden Triangle Business Improvement District, Balducci’s and the Ballston Partnership lead me to establish Forsythe Advisors.

I am a marketer for all seasons! I combine a professional services know-how with a broad background in event planning, consumer and trade advertising, including the food and retail industry. Add to that a rich background in community-based outreach and the result is the kind of multidimensional perspective that increasingly defines full-service marketing in today’s business environment.

The Taste of Arlington has become the largest food festival in Northern Virginia. Over 12,000 attend this exiting and highly anticipated annual event. I arrived as Executive Director of the twenty three year old Ballston Partnership and immediately took over management and execution of this event. Efforts were rewarded with an increased revenue of 72%, decrease in expenses by 61%, and tripled online ticket sales. The Arts & Crafts Markets and Farmers Markets were expanded under my guidance.

As Director of Marketing & Communications for the Golden Triangle Business Improvement District of Washington, DC, I spearheaded communications and community service campaigns on branding, emergency preparedness, and transportation. I redesigned the communications program, developed the new website, expanded the BID’s roundtables, created the e-alert system, and generated the collaterals.

In addition I was responsible for the Farragut Square Concert Series, street banners, capital enhancements, and community outreach programs including the American Heart Association’s Go Red, the Very Special Arts Festival, and DC’s Fete de la Musique.

As Marketing Director for the White Flint Mall, I turned marketing into news when Washingtonian Magazine, Fox TV, and Israeli television covered my promotional events. I organized and executed White Flint’s Camp Fair, College Fair, Senior Expo, and the Holiday Entertainment Extravaganza all of which attracted thousands of attendees.

While at Whole Foods Market, I created and launched in-store health fairs, Singles Nights, book signings, store tours/classes, Locally Grown Day, Organics for the New Millennium, Heritage Day, and Wheat Free/Gluten Free Month. I developed and implemented the promotional merchandising plans and media materials for the events. With lots of energy and attention to details I helped establish community ties to area schools, charities, and cultural organizations such as the Corcoran Museum of Art, National Geographic Society, Share Our Strength, and Susan B. Komen’s Race For The Cure.

I have my MBA in Marketing from The George Washington University and Bachelor of Science from the University of Connecticut. In my free time I love teaching spinning and pilates and practicing Bikram Yoga.
